PTI Notepad Swap

This is my project for the Notepad portion of the current PTI swap, found HERE. I had a hard time with this, because I didn't buy PTI's notepad set. Then I ran out of New Leaf ribbon, so had to use Ripe Avocado on one, which changed the layer color, etc. You all know the drill, we've all been there. And when I went to put the notepads in I discovered that So-and-So of a clerk at Office Depot cut half of my pads CROOKED! So they wouldn't fit, had to rip up one cover, luckily was able to cobble it back together. Arrgghh, some days nothing goes right LOL! Anyway, they're all done and ready for mailing. The template for this cover is a free download from PTI which can be found HERE. I used Floral Frenzy and Journaling Lines (on the inside pocket which I didn't photograph), Melon Berry and New Leaf CS and ink, Cricut cartridge Plantin Schoolbook. I sponged the letters with Burnt Umber Palette ink. DP is Green Tea Leaves and I sewed around the edge of it. I attached a small strip of DP to the top of the notepad to cover up the store logo.

Wow, sounds like you had a heck of a time getting these done! Don't you hate it when that happens? Well worth the work, though! It's darling!

This turned out awesome! I love the tea leaves paper and how you sewed around the edges. Sorry they were such a hassle to finish, though :( But well worth the effort, I'd say!

This picture does not do your notepad justice. :) I am so grateful that I get to keep one.
