FCCB Challenge Me Monday # 168

Today's FCCB challenge is Cute as a Bug--make a card with a bug on it!  I made a shaped card.  Some of you might recognize this cut (from Boys Will Be Boys) from a couple of posts ago--I used it for the science room at our VBS.  Here I cut two bases from white, scored the bottom one, and used sticky strip to attach the front to the back.  I then cut the layers and assembled the card, complete with wiggle eye for the ladybug.

I usually weld two shapes with my Gypsy, but doing it this way allowed me to tie the baker's twine all the way around the top.  I used an old SU stamp for the sentiment.

Here is a pic that shows the inside.  It measures slightly smaller than 5.5" x 4.25".  I like the way this card turned out.  I plan to send it to my sis, who is going through some rough times right now.

Please play along with the Fantabulous Cricut Design Team!  Make any type of project with a bug on it, and make sure to include at least one Cricut cut!  There are tons of cartridges with awesome bugs on them--Create a Critter, Walk In My Garden, and Stretch Your Imagination are just a very few.  When you are done, link up your project to the Challenge Me Monday # 168 post at FCCB.

Thanks for dropping by today!  Have a wonderful day.
