Birthday Alligator

I made this card with my new favorite Cricut Cartridge, Birthday Bash. It has so many cute images on it. I thought this would be a cute card for a little boy. CS colors used are Brilliant Blue, Pumpkin Pie, and Bashful Blue, with a tiny bit of Regal Rose for his cheek. Yes, I know an alligator wouldn't REALLY have pink cheeks. DP is SU retired Jersey Shore. Button and ribbon are also retired. And of course I had to use googly eyes.
I think this turned out really cute. How about you? Thanks for looking!

Mother's Day

Here is another card using Mojo Monday Sketch # 174. I really liked this one; it was less complicated than some they have. CS is Crumb Cake and Baja Breeze. The brad is current SU, the silver butterflies and lace are from my stash, and all other is SU retired.
I have been hoarding these butterflies, but I thought they'd be good with this sketch. Thanks for stopping by!

More Valentines

No stamping on these cards, nope, huh-uh. They're rub-ons from the SU Occasions Mini. I thought they were perfect for this Mojo Monday sketch from a couple of weeks ago. The funny thing is, I actually had this done in time to enter that sketch challenge, but didn't get it uploaded.
DP is Love Impressions, CS is Pink Pirouette, Real Red, Basic Gray, and Whisper White.
These were so much fun to make. Thanks for dropping by!

Armadillo Valentine

This card is for 2 Cricut challenges, Jitterbuggin', where you had to use brown, plus one accent color, and a bow; and Bitten by the Bug 2, where you had to use either the armadillo or bird from Birthday Bash. My sister loves all things Western, including armadillos (cute ones anyway, not the real thing LOL). So I will send her this Valentine. I also used Skipping Stones Designs sketch #60; you can see it HERE. I used Creamy Caramel, Chocolate Chip, Close to Cocoa, and Regal Rose (cheek) for the armadillo. Heart is cut from Pretty in Pink using Wild Card. I cuttlebugged the shell and background.
The pink patterned strip at the bottom is from a set of stickers that SU put out a long time ago, at the same time as the DP actually. I really like this card, and I think my sis will too. I'm going to make her another one with the armadillo wearing a cowboy hat that says Howdy Partner, or some such. Thanks for dropping by today!

January Inspired Crafter Christmas Card Sketch

My friend Banu posted a great sketch on the Inspired Crafters' blog--you can see it HERE.
I used a couple of Gina K. sets for this card. BG is stamped on Certainly Celery with Always Artichoke. Trees are embossed in gold on Always Artichoke. Card Base is Crumb Cake. I used a Versamarker to ink up the Merry Christmas from the BG stamp to emboss it in gold on the card base. I sort of rearranged the elements of the sketch, so I hope it still counts! Thanks for looking!

Valentine Defined

I had fun yesterday playing with my new SU goodies, Valentine Defined and the patterned paper that goes with it. Unfortunately, the DP uses one of my most UN-favorite SU colors--Basic Gray--I liked Going Gray SO much better. But I tried to keep an open mind. On this first card I used an old Mojo Monday sketch that went really well with this image and sentiment. I stamped the flowers in Real Red on Whisper White and glittered each tiny heart. The "o" in "Love" is a rhinestone brad. I used my SU embossing folder on the Basic Gray strip and glittered some Real Red Brads. It's pretty, but I still don't like Basic Gray.
On this card I wanted to use the split negative technique on the flamingoes. It turned out pretty cute. I also used Styled Silver Hodgepodge Hardware. Card Base is Basic Gray again, not black; it looks black in the pic.
On this last card I used Brushed Silver instead of Basic Gray, and I like it better. The birds are die cut using SU's movers and shapers Sizzix dies. Heart is Embosslit (pink) and SU punch (red DP). Rhinestones finish off the corners. This might make a nice wedding card in different colors. There is no stamping on this card.
Thanks for dropping by today! Happy stamping!

Some Cricut Valentines

Christmas is over--here comes Valentine's Day! I made this card with Wild Card and Plantin Schoolbook. Colors used are SU Taken With Teal, Cool Caribbean, and Regal Rose. DP and ribbon are retired SU. I glittered the small hearts and used a Cuttlebug embossing folder (I think it's called Floral Fantasy) on the CC layer. This is a case of the star card in the book Card Making With the Cricut.
This one uses the same color scheme, plus Chocolate Chip. The owl is from Create-a-Critter, the stamps are from the new SU Occasions mini, Valentine Defined. I totally cased this off of SCS, but they used the owl punch that SU sells.
I had a lot of fun making these! Hope you've enjoyed looking!
