~This Weeks Challenge~
Good Monday morning to you all! Today's challenge over at FCCB is to use patterned paper on a project. Today I decided to use a SVG file from SVGcuts, plus a Cricut cut!
If you're like me, you've been seeing these box cards EVERYWHERE! In fact, it's hard to find a card that ISN'T a box card LOL! So I took a deep breath and decided to try one. Of course it's a lot easier when you have an electronic die-cutting machine (or two!) to do most of the work for you. I used the Box Card SVG kit from SVGcuts for my project and my Silhouette Cameo. I used my Cricut and CTMH Art Philosophy for the cute little tag (sized at 1.25"). The "mother" stamp is from PTI's Mixed Messages.
Cardstock used is SU Wild Wasabi, Pear Pizzazz, Real Red, and CTMH Daisy. The patterned paper is from my stash and is by The Shabby Green Door. Ribbon and button are SU and I used yellow Stickles for the flower centers.
Here is a close-up of the cute little tag!
There's a lot going on in this basket! I thought it would be really hard to put together, but all the pieces are numbered (the numbers are cut into each piece), and there is a PDF file that comes with each kit that shows you how to put it together, plus they always make an assembly video tutorial. The pieces all fit together really nicely too. Honestly, it was much easier than I expected!
A lot of the box cards I've seen around only have 3 vertical layers. This one has 5.
And here is a pic of it folded flat to put in an envelope. A file for an envelope to fit each style of box card is included in the kit. I haven't made it yet though!
So, if you're hear then you're probably a papercrafter, and if you're a papercrafter, then you probably have a TON of patterned paper that you're hoarding. Set it free! Let it shine! Make a project using some of it and at least one Cricut cut and upload it to the Fantabulous Cricut Challenge Blog. You could win some wonderful stamps from Mark's Finest Paper!
Thanks for stopping by today! Have a wonderful creative week!
