Elzybells Thinking of You

This is a card I made for the lady who won my "Year of Cards" donation to the scholarship fund auction at our church last fall. She is going to send it to the same lady that I sent a card to who is going through some rough times. Stamp set is Elzybells Floral Fervour. I embossed the flowers in white and stamped the stems in SU's Garden Green on So Saffron. DP is retired SU Looks Like Spring. Flowers are punched out with the punch that went with the LLS stamp set, which I think I ebayed, couldn't find it yesterday in any case. Layer is Chocolate Chip. On the inside I stamped a sentiment from SU's Thoughts and Prayers, an excellent all around thinking of you set. SU border punch and Nesties also used.

Elzybells Floral Fervour

I am not usually one to make single layer cards, but I have been inspired by the CAS blog. And this stamp set from Elzybells lends itself well to lovely single layer cards. I stamped the dandelion head and blowing seeds in SU white craft and embossed with a mix of white and iridescent ice EP on SU Cool Caribbean (ret.). I stamped the stem and leaf in Wild Wasabi (coming back!). The sent. is from PTI's Mega Mixed Messages set, stamped in Cool C. I thought about adding ribbon, but it didn't really seem to need it. I look forward to playing with this set some more. This card is 3.25" x 6.25". Thanks for looking and happy stamping!

CPS 144

This card is for this week's CPS sketch. I used Elzybells stamps, all else is SU except for Dew Drops. I used the Liquid Applique with glitter again. Card base is Bashful Blue textured CS, other layers are Pretty in Pink and Wild Wasabi.

Mojo Monday Sketch 115

This card is for this week's Mojo Monday Sketch. I really like this sketch--it's simple! Stamps are Elzybells. I stamped the image in black Stazon on watercolor paper and watercolored with various SU reinkers and an Aquapainter. For the "snow" I used Liquid Applique and sprinkled Dazzling Diamonds glitter on it while it was still wet. After it dried I heated it with my heat tool and it pops up--very pretty! I love this stuff for Christmas time! Card base and scalloped circle are Bazzill, ribbon is PTI, all else is SU. This was such a fun image to color! I hope you all enjoyed looking.

Elzybells B-day card for my Sis

Here is another b-day card, this time for my sister. It's from a clear set by Elzybells, and I thought it would be perfect for this type of card. Images colored with Stampin' Pastels. Dazzling Diamonds glitter on polka dots on package. CS is Gable Green, Taken With Teal, and Whisper White by SU. DP is Junkitz. No embellies other than the glitter. These images are so cute they don't need embellishing!

Here's how it looks open. I hope she likes it!

Hope you have a great day, thanks for stopping by!

Elzybells Birthday card for my SIL

My sister sent me some money to by EB stamps for my b-day and I finally got around to ordering them. Thanks Lin! These little bears are just the cutest! This sketch is from the SCS sketch challenge 239. It was a couple of weeks ago, I never got it uploaded. Bears are colored with SU Stampin' Pastels. DP is old Junkitz (Salsa I think). CS is Taken with Teal, Gable Green, and white by SU. Ric rac is SU Pig Tails, retired. Sent is from Mixed Messages by PTI. Rhinestone brads are SU. This is for my SIL. Unfortunately it is about a week late! Luckily she has been on vac the last several weeks so she wouldn't have gotten it on her birthday even if I had gotten it mailed on time. I hope she likes it--she is a SU demo so she may not LOL! Just kidding. Hope you all are having a great day--thanks for stopping by!

Happy Birthday Katie!

Hello, sorry it's been so long since I've posted! This is a card I made for Emily's friend Katie. Her birthday party is at Chuck E Cheese this evening. Can you give me a big ol' yay. Oh, well, Chucky notwithstanding, Katie is a sweet girl who is turning 7--she is in Emily's Daisy troop.

This image is from Elzybells. They just have the sweetest teddy bear stamps! I loved this one of them blowing bubbles. Sentiments on inside and out are PTI from Birthday Basics. CS is SU: Whisper White, Taken With Teal, Pink Pirouette, and Regal Rose. Ribbon and DP are retired SU. Butterfly is from Dew Drops! I couldn't believe it when I saw it in my LSS--I got the last bottle.

I have made some other cards, just have not had a chance to upload them yet. Maybe soon...take care and enjoy some stamping time!

Elzybells-a-palooza!

Hi everyone! I have recently fallen in love with Elzybells stamps. They are sooo cute! So I joined an Elzybells swap too. This first card is stamped on PTI white with Palette Noir ink and watercolored with Twinkling H2O's. They were all the rage a couple years ago sort of like Copics are now, and I just HAD to have them. I really do like them, just don't use them that much. Hence my decision NOT to invest in Copics! Anyway I thought they'd be perfect for this card. The sentiment is a mixture of two--"you're my Prince Charming" and "my knight in shining armour"--I used a marker and Stamp-a-ma-Jig to fix it like I wanted it.

This view is the outside. It is a gate-fold card. I was going for the look of a castle door. Closure is those wonderful (and very strong!) magnets by Basic Grey.

This is my other EB swap--just watercolored with SU pads. Stickles on the snowdrops and pink flower centers. Card base is Gina K Luxury CS 120 lb. and Luxury is right! It is to die for.

This last card is one that I made for DH for our anniversary. This is a pic of it closed. The castle and dragon are Lizzie Anne Designs, others are Elzybells. Again colored with Twinkling H2O's.

This is the card opened. I was going for a 3-D effect. You start with a piece of CS 4.25" x 11". Score at 1", 2", 3.75", 5.5", and 8.25". Accordian fold and embellish as desired. Examples: snowy hills, sand dunes, grassy hills, etc.
Tomorrow I will share the card I made for the sketch challenge swap. I used my new Our Daily Bread Designs for that one. Until then, have a great day!

ElzyBells Easter Card

I ordered these cute stamps from ElzyBells just before the beginning of my NO-spending spree. It has really been easier than I thought and very satisfying seeing what I can do with the materials I have on hand. CS and DP are SU, ribbon is celery twill that was a Sale-a-Bration reward from this year, dies used are Spellbinders, border punch is SU, image colored with markers (Certainly Celery, Barely Banana, Pumpkin Pie, and Rose Red) and sky and grass are watercolored with Cert. Cel. and Bashful Blue. Egg Shell is coated with Crystal Effects and Dazzling Diamonds glitterand popped up on dimensionals. Very sparkly in real life. Cute little embellies are Dew Drops, have had them for a while and hadn't used them, thought they'd be perfect here. Hope you've enjoyed looking--thanks for stopping by!
