CTMH Timberline Workshop on the Go--Philmont 2012

When I saw the CTMH Spring/Summer 2014 Idea Book, I immediately fell in LOVE with the Timberline WOTG.  It's definitely my style!  It's also perfect for Boy Scout pix.  All the WOTG's come with detailed instructions and cutting diagrams for creating two 2-page layouts: CS, patterned paper, embellies and a stamp set.  All you really need to complete the kit is a few ink pads, some adhesive, a paper trimmer and your photos!  This one has some Cricut cuts, but they are not necessary--just extra fun!

I used a big pic of Matt here, and the two smaller ones are some butterfly pix--figured that went along with "Explore Your World".  The embellies that come with this set are these DARLING wood badges and some Irresistables--chipboard that has a resist finish on it.  If you click on each pic you can see an enlarged image. On the first page I sponged the circle with dark green and the photo corner with gold.

On this page I did the same thing--green on the circle and gold on the triangle (which is actually just a square cut in half diagonally).  I printed out the journalling with my computer.  I also stamped the woodgrain strip with one of the BG stamps from the Flight of the Arrows stamp set.

Here is how it looks together.  I had such a blast making this LO--it has been too long since I've done any scrapbooking!  If you'd like to order any of these cool products, you may do so HERE.

And through the end of February, you can qualify to receive a free embossing folder for every 2 packs of bulk single color or combo cardstock you purchase. Pick from our 5 new embossing folder designs—dot, chevron, quatrefoil, damask, or stripe. There is no limit on this promotion; customers may add a free folder to their order for every two qualifying packs of cardstock on their order. Qualifying cardstock packs are all single-color and combo packs with the exception of kraft, White Daisy, Colonial White, and the Paper Fundamentals Basics Assortment.

Love

Good Monday morning to you all!  I got to play around with some of my new SU stuff on Saturday, and this is what I came up with.  It is a total CASE of THIS card I found on SCS.

I embossed "Love" in from Countless Sayings 1 (I think--there's also a 2) which is one of their photopolymer sets.  I used Ivory embossing powder on Baked Brown Sugar CS, and colored in the letters with a Versamarker.

I cut several strips from my new Retro Fresh Designer Series Paper.  I love the colors and every pattern on it!  It is so cute.  I'm really into arrows and chevrons right now.  I adhered them and trimmed off the excess.  I stamped "you" from the same set and the little heart from Hearts A-flutter in Baked Brown Sugar on Coastal Cabana and die cut it.  I punched a hole and threaded some linen thread through.

I absolutely LOVE how this came out!  I am going to give it to Brad for our upcoming 26th anniversary.

What new trends are floating your boat these days?  Let me know in the comments!

Fantabulous Cricut Challenge # 198--Sketch Challenge

Happy Monday and welcome to another Monday challenge!  This week's challenge is to interpret the following sketch:

Challenge #198 Sketch Challenge
Sketch is from Card Positioning Systems

This Weeks Sponsor

Be Wild and Free Stamp Set

To qualify for the prize, be sure to use at least 1 Cricut cut on your project and if it's not obvious, let us know what cartridge you used.

Our wonderful sponsor for this week is Mark's Finest Paper, and they generously donated stamp sets for the DT to work with.  I had never used any MFP sets before, so I was excited to give them a try!

I got to use Be Wild and Free, an African animal-themed set.  I love African animals, and an African photo safari is on my bucket list, so this set was perfect for me!

I absolutely LOVE giraffes, so of course I picked this image to work with.  I've also lately fallen in love with chevrons, so I had to use those as well!  The chevron BG is from the Creative Cards cartridge.  I modified it a bit by taking off the aspect ratio to make it 4 x 5.25 ".  The CS is SU Cajun Craze and Basic Black, and CTMH Colonial White.

Here is a detail of my embellishment--twill tape that has been frayed.  You can't tell very well, but I first stamped an animal print pattern from this set onto the twill tape in Cajun Craze ink.  The Be Wild sentiment is also from this stamp set and is stamped in Memento Tuxedo Black.  I love the font!

I hope you enjoyed this card.  Now create one of your own using the above sketch and at least one Cricut cut and link it up to the FCCB blog--you might win this wonderful stamp set!

Thanks for dropping by today!

More Valentines

Happy Valentine's Day!  I love this holiday--so fun to make cards and treats for.

This first card is from the Simple Holiday Cards cartridge.  Pretty basic, but it's so cute it doesn't really need a lot of extra stuff, I think.  On the inside I stamped "Together is the best place to be" from my new Reverse Confetti set Go Together--love that stamp set!

This one is a swing card from the CTMH Artiste cartridge.  The swirls are from a SU Sizzix die.

Update on the youth fundraiser--we sold all the mugs and cocoa cones (24 of each), and most of the cards I had made.  The mugs and cocoa cones were adorable!  Unfortunately I forgot to get a pic.  But we probably made close to $300.  We made $450 with the Christmas ornaments, so we're doing well.  Next fundraiser will be a bake sale.  Will I make cupcake wrappers with the Cricut?  Stay tuned!

3 x 6" Valentines

Sometimes it's nice to have something besides an A2 card.  These use the CTMH Artbooking cartridge.  Again I used the Reverse Confetti set Go Together for the sentiment.

For this one I welded two of the overlays together with the contours hidden, then topped it with the unaltered overlay.  It's finished with a ribbon.

This last one uses the zebra stripe overlay, and I used Create a Critter for the sentiment and hearts.  The "wild" gets a little lost, unfortunately, but I still think it's cute.

Thanks for stopping in today--have an awesome day!

Kraft Valentines

First of all, let me apologize for the blurry pix!!!  I was in a hurry when I took them.  These were two that I made for our youth group mission trip fundraiser, and as usual I waited until the last minute.

I used my new Reverse Confetti stamps ( Go Together) on this first card--lots of adorable sentiments!  The background stamp is from SU, and the coffee cup is from the Love You a Latte cartridge, cut at 2.5".

This one uses a retired SU set and BG.  The hearts are from a SU Sizzlits embossing die.

I thought these would be good "man" valentines.

Thanks for taking a look--have a fabulous and creative day!

A Jaguar Valentine

Last month, CTMH was running a special called Cloud 9.  It ws an adorable stamp set with a cardmaking kit in shades of orange and teal.  Here I used one of the provided sketches and the stamp set, but I made it in our school colors--black and gold.  We're the Andover Central Jaguars!  The CS and patterned paper is from the Laughing Lola paper pack.   The hearts are cut using the CTMH Artiste cartridge, handbook p. 71.  I stamped and embossed in gold on black.  The gold polka dots are washi tape.

I think this is adorable and plan to make some more.  What kind of valentines are you making?

Gable Box using CTMH Artiste Cricut Cartridge

I made this cute little gable box from the CTMH Artiste cartridge.  It's on p. 37 of the handbook.  One of the neat things about Artiste is that in addition to the usual Cricut handbook, it also comes with an assembly guide for the boxes, which can be VERY helpful LOL!

The paper is Laughing Lola.  The label is cut from CTMH Art Philosophy and stamped with stamps from the Art Philosophy collection.  Ink is Lagoon and Gypsy.  If you would like to order one of these versatile cartridges, you can do so at my CTMH website.

I hope everyone is keeping warm--have a fun and creative week!

Another Card Using the Balloon Ride Workshop on the Go

Good morning all!   I have another card using the Balloon Ride WOTG stamp set.  I cut the label at 2.25" from the CTMH Art Philosophy cartridge from Colonial White CS and stamped it in Crystal Blue ink.  I dyed white seam binding with the Crystal Blue ink pad as well.  I popped the label up with foam tape.   Card base is Colonial White.

I love that label and how quick and easy this card was to create.  Thanks for dropping by today!

Balloon Ride Card

This is the card we made at my first CTMH workshop last Sunday.  I used 2 new stamp sets from CTMH--Give a Lift and the stamp set from the Balloon Ride Workshop on the Go.  All supplies are CTMH.  I cut the hot air balloon from one of the Balloon Ride papers at 3.5" from the CTMH Artiste cartridge.  I cut the label from CTMH Artbooking at 1.75" using the REAL DIAL SIZE function.

The lace is from the WOTG stamp set, stamped in Chocolate on Sorbet CS and fussy cut.  I stamped the label from Give a Lift in Blush onto my label, which is cut from Colonial White CS.  The sentiment, also from Give a Lift, is stamped in Chocolate.  I sponged the edges of the Colonial White card base with Chocolate ink.  The embellies are CTMH Durables.

I just love how this turned out and can't wait to make some more cool stuff with this product line.  If you would like to shop with me, here is a link to MY CTMH website.

Thanks for dropping by today--have a lovely and creative day!

FCCB Challenge # 196--Seeing Red!

Good Monday morning to you all!  Today our challenge at Fantabulous Cricut Challenge Blog is to use red.  Pretty easy right?  Especially around this time of year.  Our youth group is doing another fundraiser for their mission trip this summer.  This time we got mugs from The Dollar Tree with hearts on them.  We will fill a cello bag with a biscotti, packet of instant coffee, and some Dove chocolates, add a ribbon and a tag, and voila!  You have a cute Valentine's Day gift.

The tag is from Lacy Labels.  I made it 2" wide and then welded two together to get the length I wanted.  These are about 4" long.  I punched a hole in the end.

Hugs and kisses and I love you are from Tags, Bags, Boxes, and More 2.  I haven't used that cart much, but it has some adorable sentiments on it--take a look!  It also has a font you can use with markers.

I popped up some of the elements with foam tape.  Ribbon is from Michael's.

You warm my heart is from Beyond Birthdays.  It's just what we need for this fundraiser!

Come join us at FCCB this week!  Just make a project using the color red and at least one Cricut cut.  That's all there is to it!  Have a wonderful week!
