Handmade Journal

For my church's women's retreat, I volunteered to make a handmade journal as a door prize.  I didn't want to just cover a composition book, as I hate the blue lines on the paper.  So I cut the covers and pages myself, decorated the covers, and bound it with my Zutter Bind-It-All.  I used one-inch O-wires.

Most of the supplies are SU, except for the heart charm (Mike's I think), the doily (Wilton), and the DMC floss.   I got to use some of my new goodies--the honeycomb embossing folder and the rose ribbon from the Spring Mini.  The leaves are an SU Embosslit.  I used my Graphically Speaking cartridge to cut "journal".  It is layered over vellum and patterned paper.  I totally cased the front cover of the Spring Mini on this!  Colors are Peach Parfait, Poppy Parade, and Pear Pizzazz.  Interior pages are cut from HL CS--there are about 90 in there, so it's a pretty good journal.

Here is the inside front cover--the inside back cover matches.  I had fun making this and will probably make some more.  Thanks for looking!
