This week's Challenge:
Shape Up: Make a shaped card

Good Monday morning, all!  You know how I love making shaped cards--it's one of my favorite things to do with my Cricut.  There is a beautiful card on Fontopia that I've been meaning to try, and I just got some lovely Christmas stamps and the new Paper Fundamentals from CTMH, so I thought I'd make a Christmas card.

Fontopia has very ornate monograms, plus a crest function and a card function.  I love the swirls on this card.  I used White Daisy for the base, the cranberry Paper Fundamentals for the layer and New England Ivy for the frame and the image.  I embossed "Joy" in gold, from CTMH "Noel" stamp set.  It's so much prettier IRL than what I was able to photograph!  The bling in the corner is CTMH's gold glitter gems.

Here is a detail of one of the corners.  So pretty!

Here is a pic of the sentiment on the inside, also from CTMH "Noel".

Thanks for dropping by today!  Please play along with us this week!  It's easy.  Just make a shaped card using at least ONE Cricut cut, and upload it to FCCB!  The prize is from SVG Attic this week--love their stuff!  Wish I could participate LOL!  Have a great week!

Additional Halloween Layouts Using Scaredy Cat from CTMH

Good morning, all!  Yesterday I showed you a two page layout I devised for my September Scrapbook Club.  Today I'm showing the second two-page spread--and yes, you can get both of these pages out of one paper pack!  (The colonial white "photo mats" are not included in the pack and are only there to show size and spacing for photos.)

For these pages I used the Scaredy Cat Paper Packet X7185B, Scaredy Cat Complements X7185C (darling kraft cardstock stickers), White Enamel Stars Z2010, and Black Enamel Stars Bulk362.  I also used Black, Sunset, and Thistle ink pads, and the stamp set Halloween Greetings D1605.  The page base for this Lo is Black, included in the pack.

I used the Halloween Greetings stamp set more on this LO than I did on the previous LO.  It is so cute!  I love that vintage-y Halloween paper too.  I cut the moon from CTMH Artbooking at 3" real dial size.  I used the negative cut of the bat from the moon on my LO as well.

I cut "Beware" using CTMH Artbooking at 2.5" high real dial size.  This makes it about 8" long.  The labels are cut from CTMH Artiste and have stamps designed to go with them in the Halloween Greetings set.  This is one of the reasons I love CTMH!  And the size you need to cut the label at to fit the stamp is listed right on the stamp set--very convenient!

I hope everyone has enjoyed these layouts--thanks for dropping by today!  And if you see anything you just can't live without, you can order it from me by clicking the button at the top of my blog.  Have a great day!

Halloween is Right Around the Corner!

Hello, everyone!  My favorite time of year, fall, is here. And my second favorite holiday is not far off!  Close To My Heart came out with a wonderful Halloween paper pack this year called Scaredy Cat.  This is one of the layouts we well be doing for my September Scrapbook Club.  Usually we do a Workshop on the Go, but there wasn't one for this particular paper pack, so I came up with my own.

The page bases are Whisper, included in the packet.  I used the stickers to spell out my title.

I stamped the pumpkin and cut it out.  The little gravestone sticker makes a perfect journaling piece.

The haunted house was cut using CTMH Artbooking at 6" (NOT real dial size).  I wish I had made it a little bigger.  I backed the windows with Sunset CS (included in the paper pack).

The spider web border is also from Artbooking, cut at 11" (again, not RDS) from Thistle CS (in pack).  I sponged the edges with black ink.  I needed 3 border sections for my LO.

The enamel stars I colored with my Copic markers.  There is a Scaredy Cat Assortment Z3011 that has enamel stars already in Sunset, Thistle and Black, plus some punched pewter shapes, but I wanted to experiment with coloring the stars with Copics.  You get kind of a swirly effect with the Copics--not a solid color.

Thanks for dropping by today!  If anything here strikes your fancy, you can order it from me by clicking on the button at the top of my blog.  Come back tomorrow to see the second layout using the Scaredy Cat Paper Pack.
