Happy New Year everyone! I hope you all had a wonderful holiday season; I know I did. I don't usually make resolutions, but I did this year and one of them was to focus more on scrapbooking. My PTI buddies over on SCS were right there with some tips on some great websites to help get me started. This layout is for Sketch # 1 for the Scrap Friendzy Sketch-a-Thon. I really liked this sketch and knew immediately what I wanted to do with it. Emily got a ton of stuff for Christmas, but her absolute favorite thing was these SpongeBob PJ's, robe and slippers. Base is Bazzill, and layers are SU Yo-Yo Yellow, Tempting Turquoise, and the old Rose Romance, which I still have a sheet or two of lying around. One of the great things about scrapping more is maybe I'll use up some of my paper LOL! I got a Cricut Expression for Christmas and have been having a wonderful time with it--it is just so fun! Here I used Stretch Your Imagination for the panel with the holes (because SpongeBob is absorbent and yellow and porous you know), Accents and Elements for the scalloped border and the little fun elements, and Plantin Schoolbook for the letters (the last two came with the machine). The word "present" is stamped in Palette Noir with Technique Tuesday's Large Avalon Lowercase. I really like TT's alphas, especially the script ones. I used Doodlebug Designs glitter on the centers of the flower looking things. Journalling was done on the computer and the font is Party Let. Hope you've enjoyed looking. Did you make any New Year's Resolutions this year?

I love her jammies, and what a perfect page you made centered around them. The big scallops on the bottom are fabulous!
