Super Scrap-a-Thon sketch # 8

Here is Emily's cheerleader portrait from last year when she took cheerleading at the Y. The curved panel is actually clear CS that I traced on with a Sharpie. If there's one thing I hate to do, it's cover up beautiful patterned paper! That's a huge reason I'm such a paper hoarder--can't bear to cover it up! What a weirdo I am. Anyway, the "pom-poms" were made using the Sizzix Daisy die from SU. The smaller flower has a clear rhinestone brad and the large one has a brad from Making Memories. Gray panel is Going Gray that I wheeled with an old SU wheel called Confetti in black. "She's all that" from Cricut Graphically Speaking cartridge. I have some snapshots of her doing the cheer thing that I need to scrap too, but this is good for now. A few weeks into the cheer thing she wanted to quit, but I made her see it through. She has no interest in it now, but she can turn a mean cartwheel, which is more than I ever could! Happy stamping!

Amy, WOW, Stunning layout. I kind of understand what you mean by hiding paper. Even I feel that way when there are multiple paper layers in a sketch. So many times, I have moved the photo a bit so that the paper can be seen. lol. But this layout has come together so well..I love it. I am getting totally inspired by you to use my cricut. Thanks so much.

Oh, I love the idea of adding some clear cardstock to give some depth without covering that paper up. What a great idea. And I love the overall monotone effect. Great job!
